A handly Experience
The first part of the open lab tour was about milling machine and a lathe. We were introduced to the basics of both machines. We learned about the general handling of both machines and safety precautions. Different types of materials require different RPM´s for different results etc. in general it was really nice to see how these machines work, because many of my civil friends are working in a familiar field and had to learn how to work with these machines as well. With the lathe being a completly different toll based on the same principles. At first i was a bit unsecure about working wiht them but now I would really like to create something with them. Unfortunately it is difficult to implement a part that is based on milling in my final project.
